Personal Information

Last year, your sacrifices reached over 25,000 families. This year, let’s bring the spirit of Eid to Africa together

Qurbani is a sacred act of worship that symbolizes devotion, gratitude, and sharing Allah’s blessings with those in need. It commemorates the unwavering obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his willingness to sacrifice for the sake of Allah (SWT).

“Say, ‘Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds.’” (Qur’an 6:162)

At Assalam Community Foundation, your Qurbani is performed in accordance with Islamic principles and distributed to the most vulnerable families across Zanzibar, ensuring that every sacrifice brings nourishment, joy, and dignity.

we facilitate year-round Qurbani for various intentions beyond Eid-ul-Adha. Whether it’s Wajb (obligatory), Adaq (vow), Sadaqah (voluntary charity), Shukr (gratitude), Akikah (childbirth), or Nafilah (optional), we ensure your sacrifice is carried out according to Islamic principles.

What is Qurbani?

Qurbani is a profound act of submission to Allah (SWT), reminding us of our responsibility to care for those less fortunate.

“It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is piety from you that reaches Him.” (Qur’an 22:37)

By offering Qurbani, you embody the spirit of generosity and fulfill a vital Sunnah that strengthens community bonds and uplifts the poor.
